Our

Mission

Yanunula Ministries exists to promote purpose by unveiling the life-changing transformation of the Gospel and empowering Ugandans to create sustainable futures and generational change.

OUR

VISION

  • Women’s and Men’s Ministries

Separate weekly gatherings for men and women exist to foster fellowship, worship our Creator, and study Scripture so that the life-changing power of the Gospel may be revealed. These weekly gatherings incorporate skill trainings, where learned information is utilized to generate income for participants families.

  • Farm

The farm produces fresh, organically raised fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat, providing need-based healthy meals for families established with Yanunula Ministries. Alongside these foods, Yanunula Ministries also provides cultural staples such as rice, beans, matooke, and posho to combat hunger and malnutrition directly. The farm further supports the community by providing income for men and women employed to nurture the garden and livestock.

  • Business Trainings

Business trainings provide tangible tools to assist Ugandans we have established relationships with in business development, thus empowering families to create self-sustainable futures.

    Street Outreach

Frequent service projects led by Ugandans in Kamuli afford the opportunity to build relationships with children living on the streets through games, worship, and studying God’s Word. Ultimately, we hope street outreach will create opportunities to reunite families, provide scholarship support, and foster discipleship with the goal of bringing the ministries started in Jinja to the community in Kamuli.

Our Why

Gospel. Purpose. Empowerment. Sustainability. Lives are changed forever when the Gospel of Jesus Christ is presented entirely and unapologetically. Every human being was created with purpose by a king who loves them unconditionally. When that purpose is unveiled, it empowers God’s beloved children. When God’s children are empowered, sustainable change takes root.

• Like everywhere, the Bible has been manipulated in Uganda to leverage power and control. As a result, many Ugandans have only encountered oppressive, false teaching. We have experienced the transformative, liberating power of the Gospel and feel a sense of urgency in ensuring others get the opportunity to be transformed by God’s redeeming love.

• Historically, many Ugandans have experienced severe poverty, oppression, and perverted versions of Christianity, which all lead to a lack of sense of purpose. We believe discovering purpose is essential to understanding one’s value and can only be accomplished by being made new by the transformative power of the Gospel.

• Believing one has a purpose prepares hearts to be empowered. At Yanunula Ministries, we are passionate about empowering families, as empowerment is essential in igniting change.

• Only when people have come to understand they have a purpose and are empowered to act on it can sustainable change be achieved. At Yanunula Ministries, we seek to provide the tools to promote sustainable change in families, communities, and the entire nation of Uganda.

• Many non-profits do a great job of meeting immediate physical needs, and while this is necessary and important, aid without empowerment often creates and perpetuates a culture of dependence. When the food or finances run out, families are left in the exact same situation as before. We believe we can do more. By partnering with local families, we believe it is possible to meet needs in a way that simultaneously stimulates sustainable and generational change.

• Finally, we believe in the importance of uniting and reuniting families. In everything we do, Yanunula Ministries seeks to keep families together, reunite separated families, and work to propel families forward together.
