Yanunula Ministries is a non-profit organization operating in Uganda to serve the towns of Jinja, Kamuli, and surrounding communities.

Yanunula was founded by Adam and Lauren Bonertz in 2022. God began stirring the vision for Yanunula Ministries in the hearts of Adam and Lauren in 2015 after making it clear they would spend their lives in ministry together. They have had the opportunity to work in Uganda with multiple ministries before founding Yanunula and have fallen in love with the country God has called them to.

Our heart is to unveil the truth of the Gospel, promote purpose, empower the Ugandan people, and create sustainable programs that will promote generational change. 

• We believe in the inerrant word of God.

• We believe every human being was knit together in their mother’s womb (Psalms 139:13)  and created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27).

• We believe all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

• We believe God’s justice requires payment for our sins (Romans 5:25-26), and that God, in his grace, sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sin and take on the wrath of God in our place (Romans 5:25, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8).

• We believe the requirement to receive the gift of salvation is to believe in Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made on the cross (John 3:16, John 3:18), repent of sin (Acts 2:38, Acts 20:21, Acts 26:20), and confess Jesus Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9).
